Green hand; newbie; rookie

tā fù qīn shì gāo ěr fū qiú cài niǎo。
Her father is a rookie at playing golf.
绝对不要准时到，不然人家会说你是菜鸟。
jué duì bú yào zhǔn shí dào ， bù rán rén jia huì shuō nǐ shì cài niǎo。
